VI CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION ON ELECTRICITY DISTRIBUTION IN SERBIA

It gathers professionals and experts from power distribution companies, electrical engineering faculties and institutes, design, constructing and manufacturing companies from Serbia and region.

The First Announcement and Call for Papers

CIRED Serbia in cooperation with respective CIRED Committees of Montenegro, Romania and other committees, companies and experts from other countries in the region, organizes the VI Conference on Electricity Distribution in Serbia with regional contribution. The Organizing Committee is responsible for the professional success of the Conference.

It is obligatory to write short abstract in both English and Serbian language, wereas the paper must be written in Serbian (English version is voluntary).

Simultaneous interpretation will be organized in Serbian and English.

PREFERENTIAL SUBJECTS

SESSION 1: DISTRIBUTION SUBSTATIONS AND POWER LINES

Chairman: Prof. Dragoslav Peric, PhD., High Engineering School, Belgrade

  1. Effects of equipment performances during the life time (ageing, diagnostics and monitoring, maintenance, property management) on design of distribution substations and power lines.
  2. Innovation in the design of distribution substation and power line equipment (implementation of new materials and technologies, modeling and testing, implementation of communication and information technologies - CAD, GIS, GPS etc.).
  3. New technical recommendations and guidelines for designers in the application of the equipment and solutions in distribution substations and power lines.
  4. Law regulations and methods and measurement techniques concerning the impact of distribution substations and power lines on the environment.
  5. Operation safety of distribution substations and power lines.

 

 

SESSION 2: POWER QUALITY IN DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS

Chairman: Prof. Vladimir Katic, PhD., Faculty of Technical Sciences, Novi Sad, Serbia

  1. Technical regulation on power quality (standards, regulations, procedures and procedures);
  2. Power quality measurement and monitoring (diagnostic methods, equipment, procedures etc.);
  3. Power quality parameters and customer loads (sources, harmonic flow, immunity, installation, mitigation);
  4. Over voltages and over voltage protection in distribution networks, EMC, grounding malfunction and power quality;
  5. Operation of small hydros and other renewable energy sources and power quality.

 

SESSION 3: OPERATION OF SUPPLY SYSTEMS

Chairman: Zarko Micin, PC EPS Elektrovojvodina, Electric Utility Novi Sad

  1. Distribution system revitalization and its capability enhancement in order to improve utilization;
  2. Network maintenance management by using various software's and other methods (preventing test method) which include substation previous maintenance, importance, reliability and expenses, producing better quality of service;
  3. Failures, network control, management under fault conditions, as well as faster and more accurate fault location;
  4. Experience in protection system application, relay adjustment and failures, models and tools for protection simulation;
  5. New protection system experience (man-relay interface), relay adjustment and fault display.

SESSION 4: CONTROL AND PROTECTION OF SUPPLY SYSTEMS

Chairman: Dusan Vukotic, M.Sc.E.E., EDB - Electric Utility of Belgrade

  1. The strategies during replacing SCADA systems, reconstruction of the relay protections and implementation of the substation automation systems;
  2. The usage of energy application within electric utilities;
  3. The automation of electric distribution network (concepts);
  4. The usage of communication systems for operation and protection of the electric distribution network;
  5. The models and tools for simulation of the protection;
  6. The skills and training of staff for protection and operation of the electric distribution network.

 

SESSION 5: DEREGULATION, OPEN MARKET AND UTILIZATION OF ELECTRICITY

Chairman: mr Miroslav Markovic, M.Sc.E.E., Electricity Industry of Montenegro

  1. Status and experiences of regulation, unbundling and outsourcing in electricity sector in the region;
  2. Principles for pricing the electricity distribution service - tariffs, tariffs for pricing of electric energy for tariff customers;
  3. Metering devices, communication requirements and billing systems, customer services;
  4. Automatic Meter reading (AMR) system development, experiences and economic evaluation;
  5. Energy efficiency improvement, load management and demand side management.

 

SESSION 6: POWER DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT

Chairman: Aleksandar Janjic, PhD., PC EPS Elektrodistribucija Nis, Electric Utility Nis

  1. Methods, tools, and new technologies for the planning of distribution networks development;
  2. Economic evaluation of development alternatives, investment strategies and risk management;
  3. Asset management and maintenance strategies;
  4. Methods and tools for energy losses assessment;
  5. Methods and tools for compensation of reactive electrical energy.

 

ABSTRACT APPLICATION

Application should contain following information:

•  Title of paper and short summary of maximum 300 to 400 words, not more than one page A4, without commercial aspects;

•  For every author and co-authors - first name and surname, address, telephone, fax and e-mail should be provided;

•  If there are more authors, the contact person must be noticed;

•  Session number and preferential subject for the abstract;

 

Please send separate application for each abstract!

Final version of paper should be written and submitted in Serbian language, while English version is voluntary.

Authors will be notified of abstract acceptance not later then March 20 th 2008.

Deadline for submission of full paper will be April 20 th 2008 .
